Kiley and Will met on November 17th, 2013 at the Chicago Bears game. Despite the weather’s best efforts to cancel the game, they both stayed through the rain delay and ended up hitting it off. With a little help with a nearby Ravens fan, Will asked for Kiley’s number, and they’ve been together ever since.

The Proposal

Will proposed Wednesday, February 7th, 2018. Will messaged Kiley at work and said the internet was down at around 3PM, so he was going to head home so he could work from there (spoiler alert - this turns out to be untrue).  He said he would clean the house while he was there before we went out to dinner for restaurant week, which was nice because we had just thrown a Super Bowl party that past weekend and hadn't had the chance to fully clean up yet (score for Kiley). We went to dinner for restaurant week and Will claimed he didn't feel too well at the end of the meal (another lie!) We headed home and Will sat on the couch so Kiley followed suit.  The door to the bedroom was closed and the light was on in the bedroom which was strange as we never shut our door before leaving or leave the lights on when we leave, so Kiley asked about it.  Will claimed he was trying a new way to keep some heat in the room as it got cold at night (the final lie, hopefully) which Kiley naively believed.  Kiley then proceeded to get ready for bed; washed her face, brushed her teeth, etc. while Will sat in agony on the couch.  Kiley finally came back and opened the door to find rose petals, champagne, and photos of us decorating the room.  Kiley kept asking "what is happening?!" to which Will bluntly responded "Kiley, I'm proposing to you". He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Kiley looked at her FitBit and answered "It's Wednesday!", followed by a resounding "of course!"
